Música Experimental Portuguesa – Panorâmica

Rui Eduardo Paes presents a stroll through Portuguese experimental music, featuring guest performances. The first session, “Pionners” is dedicated to the 60s and 70s, highlighting the work of Jorge Lima Barreto, Vítor Rua (Anar Band, Telectu, etc.) and Carlos “Zíngaro” (Plexus, etc.). Session two, “Trânsfugas” looks at the 1980s and 90s and to the work of Nuno Rebelo, David Maranha (Osso Exótico, etc.), Sei Miguel, Ernesto Rodrigues, Rafael Toral, Carlos Santos, Paulo Raposo (Vitriol, etc.), Manuel Mota and Américo Rodrigues. Finally, session three, “Electrónicos e electroacústicos” is dedicated to the 1990s and 00s and to the work of Miguel Carvalhais, Pedro Tudela (@c), Vítor Joaquim, Miguel Cabral, Emídio Buchinho, André Gonçalves, Nuno Moita, Gustavo Costa, Jonathan Saldanha, João Martins (colectivo Soopa), Pedro Lopes, Pedro Sousa, Munch von Namek (OTO, etc.).

The guest performers will be Carlos Zíngaro (session 1), Carlos Santos (session 2) and Pedro Sousa (session 3). 16, 17 and 18 September at the Goethe-Institut Portugal, Lisboa.
